What We Do
Our Work
Casa De Hemptree focuses on building community partnerships with local farmers, collecting bio-waste after harvest. We create workshops teaching the community how to turn hemp bio-waste into sustainable housing for people in need.
Housing
Using a simple mixture of hemp, lime-based binder, and water. Hempcrete is a Carbon Negative material that acts as an insulator and moisture regulator. It is flame, pest and mold resistant. Supported by a stick or steel frame, this lightweight material is very durable and up to 3 times more resistant to cracking than concrete. Or goal is to provide simple, sustainable habitats for people in need.
Education
We will be offering workshops to teach the farming practices of hemp, how we harvest, and how we process the plant into hempcrete! All ages welcome, including schools, churches and groups wishing to educate about sustainable farming and housing.
Farming Assistance
Casa De Hemptree welcomes all volunteers that ready to make a difference. We have something for everyone. All ages are welcome. We humbly accept all donations including biowaste from local Farms. All Donations are tax deductible as we are a federally recognize as a 501c3 nonprofit. We hope to see you join us soon!
